The Department of Education’s Direct Loan Program continues to offer consolidation. You may apply on line at http://www.loanconsolidation.ed.gov or by calling 1-800-557-7392. Keep in mind that your loan status and situation is unique. It is important that you understand the benefits of all of the repayment options available prior to making the decision to consolidate.
